The RSGB is the UK's national society for amateur radio enthusiasts.

G4EAN says "Peak Rail operates between Matlock (trains from Derby, change onto platform 2 at Matlock for Peak Rail) and Rowsley South".  

Ecclesbourne Valley Railway - www.e-v-r.com

G4EAN says "The EVR is a delightful railway based in the lovely town of Wirksworth in the Peak District". The other end of the line is at Duffield (which is on the Derby - Sheffield line).  Definitely worth a visit. Do look at the live webcams on the site.

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is home to amateur radio stations from time to time.

Great fun - an annual weekend event of radio amateurs on the air from railways! This site usually lists the stations (both radio and railway) which will be on the air for ROTA weekend.
